I have a RedHat 7.3 system with a DLink 520 PCI card that refuses to start
the Released 9/12 driver from system startup. After the system starts I
login and use modprobe or give the the command ifconfig wlan0 192.168.0.1,
this causes the driver to load and run. I have the alias wlan0 hostap_pci
in the modules.conf file but nothing else. Once the hostap_pci driver loads
it runs fine. I know I have a configuration problem I just don't what the
driver is looking for at boot time to cause it to load and run. I have
looked with lsmod and driver is definitely not loading. I need the driver
to load at boot time, any ideas?
