FYI,
Anybody looking for a DLINK 520 PCI - PRISM replacement board, it seems we
have a choice, probably with all the warts we know and love of the 520 card!
The NetGear MA311 PCI card is PRISM 2.0 compatible according to their tech
support, they didn't say 2.5 which is what I was expecting. Seeing that
they just announced this product it will probably be in production for some
time. From the photo of the product it appears to be manufactured by the
same company as the DLINK product, just a different label. I wish I knew
who actually manufactures the board.
I'am going out to the local computer store and track down one of these
boards and plug it in to my machine and see what happens. I'll keep you all
posted.
