I know the DWL-520 uses the Prism 2.5 chipset.

The DWL-520 in my server reports the following, wlan0: Intersil Prism2.5 PCI

I believe the DWL-650+ has a hopped up version of the TI ACX100 chipset (it seems to be the only chipset in their current product list).
